Indie Jewelry Artist - Kat BarronMiller.
Welcome to my website! I'm an jewelry artist located in Des Moines IA. What in the heck does "indie" mean in this context?
Definition of “indie”
1. One, such as a studio or producer, that is unaffiliated with a larger or more commercial organization.
2. An artistic work produced by an independent company or group

For me that means I’m a one woman workshop that’s been producing jewelry designs for 14 years. My business is family owned.. I’m the “maker” and my husband helps me at shows. We travel around Iowa and surrounding states 15-20 times a year selling at art shows and farmer’s markets. I also do home jewelry parties and open my studio by request.

The jewelry art you see on my website, as well as on my facebook, my blog, twitter , flickr and sell at Artfire is made by me
and my own two hands. Anything you might buy from me is made with joy and laughter ( and let’s be honest, the occasional curse word) and I think you can see that, and feel that, in every piece I make. If a piece doesn’t make me happy both artistically and technically I don’t sell it. It’s no fun for me if I can’t be proud that someone else is wearing it!

I’m rebooting my website, and I hope to add more pictures soon. For now here is a slide show of recent pieces. Thank you for your time!
